Lapierre XR 7.9

The 2021 "XR 7.9" model from Lapierre is a high-quality mountain bike designed specifically for demanding riders. The bike’s frame is made from full carbon and, with 100 mm of travel, offers the perfect balance between lightness and stability. The 29-inch frame size ensures excellent rolling performance off-road. The Boost standard and thru-axle technology contribute to the stiffness and precision of the chassis.

Braking performance is provided by the Shimano NEW XT B LM 8100 brakes, which are renowned for their reliability and powerful performance. The bike is fitted with the SHIMANO NEW K RDM8100 XT 12-speed groupset, enabling precise gear changes. The Fox 32 Step Cast Performance fork, with 100 mm of travel and a 2-position remote, offers adjustable damping for different types of terrain.

The pedals are fitted with NW 91K steel cages, which ensure robustness. The bottom bracket is a SHIMANO PF BB, which ensures efficient power transfer. The crankset, also from Shimano, is available in two lengths: 170 mm for size S and 175 mm for sizes M, L and XL. The Shimano NEW SLX 10-51T 12-speed cassette complements the drivetrain, which is also from SHIMANO NEW SLX.

The handlebars are made from FSA SLK carbon and have a width of 740 mm and a diameter of 31.8 mm, enabling comfortable and controlled steering. The FOAM GRIPS provide additional comfort on longer rides. The Lapierre 7050 Alloy stem is available in two lengths to suit the frame size: 60 mm for S and M, and 70 mm for L and XL.

The headset is a Shimano NEW SLX 1x12, which contributes to the bike’s overall performance. The 29-inch Mavic Crossmax ELITE UST tyres offer excellent traction and are fitted with the Microspline/Centrelock system, which allows for easy maintenance.

The saddle is a Lapierre by Velo model and offers comfort even over long distances. The seatpost is made of carbon, with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 400 mm, which reduces the bike’s overall weight whilst providing stability.
