Lapierre Spicy CF 7.9

The 2022 Lapierre Spicy CF 7.9 is a high-quality mountain bike that stands out thanks to its carefully selected components and well-thought-out design. The frame is made from Spicy Full Carbon Ultimate and offers 170 mm of travel with 29-inch wheels. It is fitted with a PressFit bottom bracket, Boost standard and a metric thru-axle, ensuring high stiffness and stability.

Braking performance is provided by the Shimano XT M8120 four-piston brakes, which grip reliably even on challenging descents. The drivetrain features the Shimano XT M8100, a 12-speed system with Shadow Plus technology, which enables precise and smooth gear changes. The shifter is the Shimano SLX M7100, also designed for 12 speeds.

Front suspension is provided by the Fox 38 Float Factory Kashima Grip 2 fork with 170 mm of travel, which is renowned for its excellent damping and responsiveness. At the rear, the Fox DHX2 Factory Series shock, with a trunnion mount and a 2-position lever, ensures optimum suspension performance. The spring preload varies depending on frame size: 350 for S, 400 for M, 450 for L and 500 for XL.

The bike is fitted with FPD NW-91K pedals with steel cages and uses a Shimano BBMT800 Press Fit bottom bracket. The crankset is the Shimano XT M8120 with a 32-tooth chainring, with the crank arm length varying depending on frame size (165 mm for S, 170 mm for M/L and 175 mm for XL). The cassette is a Shimano CS-Deore with a 10–51T range for the 12-speed system.

The handlebars are made from Lapierre Alloy 6061DB and come in different widths and heights depending on size (760 mm wide and 15 mm rise for S/M, 780 mm wide and 30 mm rise for L/XL). The grips are Lapierre “Fit” grips, which are also available in two sizes. The stem is made from solid CNC-machined aluminium and has a length of 35 mm (S), 40 mm (M) and 45 mm (L/XL).

The headset is an FSA Orbit Zero Stack model. The tyres are by Schwalbe: the Magic Mary with Addix Ultra Soft compound at the front and the Big Betty with Addix Soft compound at the rear, both in the Super Trail version and tubeless-ready. The wheelset is the DT Swiss EX1700 SPLINE 30c with special decals and Boost tubeless-ready.

The saddle is a Lapierre Crmo by Velo model, whilst the seatpost is a JD Dropper with adjustable travel that varies depending on size: 125 mm (S), 150 mm (M) and 170 mm (L/XL).
