Lapierre SPICY CF 7.9

The 2021 Lapierre SPICY CF 7.9 is a high-quality mountain bike equipped with a wide range of technical features designed for performance and reliability. The bike’s frame is made from SPICY FULL CARBON ULTIMATE material and offers 170 mm of suspension travel. It is designed for 29-inch wheels and features a PRESSFIT bottom bracket, BOOST standard and a METRIC shock mount with a THRU AXLE.

Braking performance is provided by SHIMANO RT MT800 brakes with 203 mm discs at the front and rear, ensuring excellent deceleration. The drivetrain consists of a SHIMANO XT 12-speed groupset, which operates precisely and quickly. The Öhlins RXF36 R TTX18 3 air suspension fork also offers 170 mm of travel and is specifically designed for 29-inch wheels with a 44 mm offset, ensuring optimum damping. The rear shock is an Öhlins TTX22M coil shock with a TRUNION mount and different spring rates depending on frame size.

The bike is fitted with NW 91K pedals and the bottom bracket is a SHIMANO BBMT800 Pressfit. The crankset varies depending on frame size: 165 mm cranks with a 32-tooth chainring for size S, 170 mm for M and L, and 175 mm for XL. The cassette is a SHIMANO Deore with a 10–51T range across 12 speeds, complemented by a SHIMANO SLX drivetrain.

The handlebars are made from LAPIERRE 6061DB aluminium and have a diameter of 31.8 mm. They are available in 760 mm with a 15 mm rise for sizes S and M, and 780 mm with a 30 mm rise for sizes L and XL. The grips are LAPIERRE ‘FIT’ grips, available in two sizes to ensure optimum comfort. The stem is also by LAPIERRE, made from solid CNC-machined aluminium and available in various lengths depending on frame size.

DT SWISS E1700 SPLINE 30c BOOST tubeless-ready tyres, fitted with a CentreLock MICROSPLINE body, have been chosen for the wheels. The saddle is a LAPIERRE CRMO by Velo model, designed for comfort and durability. The seatpost is a JD DROPPER “RAD Travel adjust”, which offers different adjustment ranges depending on frame size: 125 mm for S, 150 mm for M and 170 mm for L and XL.
