Lapierre Sensium 1.0 W

The Sensium 1.0 W from Lapierre from 2023 is a road bike designed specifically for women. With a price tag of 1099 euros, it offers solid equipment aimed at beginners and advanced riders. The frame is made of Sensium Women Supreme 5 aluminium with smooth welded seams, which not only ensures an appealing look, but also contributes to weight reduction. The total weight of the bike is 10 kg, which makes it very light and easy to handle.

Braking power is provided by Promax RC-482 brakes, which offer reliable control. The gear system is equipped with the Shimano Claris RD-R2000-GS, an 8-speed gear system which, together with the Shimano Claris ST-R2000 shift levers and an additional brake lever, enables precise and easy shifting. The front derailleur is also a Shimano Claris FD-R2000BM, which harmonises with the 2x8-speed system. The crankset consists of a Shimano Claris FC-R2000 with 50-34T and a length of 170 mm, while the sprocket is a Shimano HG50 with 11-34T. The drive is provided by a KMC Z8 chain.

The fork of the Sensium 1.0 W combines carbon with an aluminium steerer, which offers both stability and comfort. The pedals are VP-335 Clips&Strap, which ensure a good connection between rider and bike. The handlebars are made of Lapierre Women Alloy, with a width of 380 mm for size S and 400 mm for M/L, while the grips are made of Lapierre Tape. The stem is also made of Lapierre aluminium, has an angle of -7° and a diameter of 31.8 mm, with a length of 80 mm for size S and 90 mm for M/L.

The headset is an FSA NO.9M/TH 1-1/8" with 36°/36° ACB specifications. The wheelset consists of Shimano RS300 hubs combined with Ryde ZAC2000 aluminium rims, with both the front and rear hubs having 32 spoke holes. Seating comfort is provided by the Selle Italia Model X Superflow saddle with a width of 145 mm, mounted on a Lapierre aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 350 mm.
