Lapierre Sensium 1.0 W

The 2022 "Sensium 1.0 W" model from Lapierre is a road bike designed specifically for women. The frame is made from lightweight and robust Sensium Women Supreme 5 Alloy with smooth welds, which ensure an aesthetic appearance and improved aerodynamics. The fork combines carbon with an aluminium steerer tube, which reduces weight and increases riding stability.

The bike is fitted with a Shimano Claris gear system, comprising an FD-R2000BM front derailleur and an RD-R2000-GS rear derailleur. This 2x8-speed drivetrain is operated by Shimano Claris ST-R2000 shift levers, which also incorporate brake levers. The Shimano Claris FC-R2000 crankset offers a gear ratio of 50-34T and is available in two lengths: 170 mm for sizes S/M and 175 mm for size L. The Shimano HG50 cassette offers a range of 11–34T, whilst the KMC Z8 chain ensures a reliable drivetrain.

The Sensium 1.0 W is fitted with Promax RC-481 brakes, which ensure effective deceleration and safety. The VP-335 pedals with clips and straps provide good grip and control whilst riding. The bottom bracket is a Shimano BSA, which ensures smooth power transfer.

The handlebars are a Lapierre Women Alloy model, 380 mm wide for size S and 400 mm for sizes M/L, paired with Lapierre tape for optimum comfort. The stem is also made from Lapierre Alloy with a -7° angle and a diameter of 31.8 mm, with the length varying depending on frame size: 80 mm for size S and 90 mm for sizes M/L. The headset is an FSA NO.9M/TH 1-1/8", which ensures precise steering.

The Ryde Chrina rims, measuring 622x13 with 32 spokes, are fitted with Continental Ultra Sport 3 SL tyres in size 700x25, ensuring good road holding. The hubs are Shimano RS300 models, which also feature 32 spokes.

The Selle Italia X3 XP Boost Lady saddle and the Lapierre Alloy seatpost, with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 350 mm, offer comfort on longer rides. The Sensium 1.0 W is available at a price of 929 euros and offers a balanced combination of performance, comfort and value for money, making it ideal for recreational cyclists and those new to road cycling.
