Lapierre Prorace CF 6.9

The 2022 Lapierre Prorace CF 6.9 is a high-quality mountain bike that stands out thanks to its well-thought-out specifications and the use of modern technologies. The bike’s frame is made from a new Prorace 29” carbon, renowned for its lightness and stability. Featuring a PressFit bottom bracket, Boost standard and a 12x148mm thru-axle, the frame provides a solid foundation for demanding off-road riding.

The bike’s brakes are the SRAM Level T in black with Stealth-a-majig technology, which ensure reliable braking performance. The drivetrain features the SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed system, which enables precise and smooth gear changes. The shifter is also an SRAM NX Eagle 12s, making operation intuitive and efficient.

At the front, the bike is fitted with a RockShox SID SL Select Charger Remote Lockout Debonair fork, which offers 100 mm of travel and comes in a glossy black finish. The pedals are FPD NW-91K with steel cages, ensuring a robust connection between rider and bike. The bottom bracket is a SRAM DUB Press Fit 92, renowned for its durability and efficiency.

The crankset consists of a SRAM NX Eagle DUB with a 32-tooth chainring and a 55 mm chainline. The length varies depending on frame size: 170 mm for size S and 175 mm for M, L and XL. The cassette is an SRAM PG1210 Eagle with an 11–50T range across 12 speeds, offering a wide gear ratio range.

The handlebars are made from Lapierre 6061 aluminium, are 740 mm wide and have a diameter of 31.8 mm. The grips are made from Lapierre foam and are available in two sizes: small for frame size S and large for M, L and XL. The stem is made from Lapierre 7050 aluminium, has a 7° angle and is available in two lengths: 60 mm for sizes S and M, and 70 mm for sizes L and XL.

The headset is an FSA Orbit C-40-ACB NO.42/ACB-A, which ensures precise steering. The rims are Rodi Tryp 25, which are tubeless-ready and measure 25-622. The tyres are Maxxis Rekon Race EXO TR in size 29x2.35, which are renowned for their excellent off-road grip.

The hubs are by Fastace: the DF813 model at the front with a 6-hole disc brake mount and the DR813 model at the rear, also with a 6-hole mount. The saddle is a black Fizik Taiga, which offers comfort even on longer rides. The seatpost is forged from Lapierre aluminium, has a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 400 mm.

The Lapierre Prorace CF 6.9 is priced at 2699 EUR and is aimed at ambitious mountain bikers who value quality and performance.
