Lapierre Prorace CF 5.9

The 2022 Lapierre Prorace CF 5.9 is a mountain bike designed for ambitious riders who value performance and quality. Priced at 1999 EUR, it offers a good balance between high-quality components and an affordable investment. The Prorace CF 5.9’s frame is made from New Prorace 29" carbon, ensuring lightness and stiffness. It is fitted with a PressFit bottom bracket and features a Boost standard with a 12x148mm thru-axle, which ensures increased stability and better power transfer.

The bike’s braking system consists of black SRAM Level brakes, which are fitted with Stealth-a-majig technology and ensure reliable braking performance. The drivetrain is a 12-speed SRAM SX Eagle, controlled via the matching SRAM SX Eagle 12s shift lever, which enables precise and fast gear changes. The SR Suntour Raidon fork with remote lockout offers 100 mm of travel and ensures a smooth ride even on uneven trails.

Power is transmitted via an SRAM SX Eagle DUB crankset with a 32T chainring and a 55 mm chainline, combined with an SRAM PG1210 Eagle cassette with a range of 11–50T. The drivetrain is also designed to work with the SRAM SX Eagle system, ensuring seamless integration. The bike is fitted with FPD NW-91K pedals with steel cages, which are robust and durable.

The handlebars are a Lapierre Alloy 6061 Top Flat model, 740 mm wide and 31.8 mm in diameter, whilst the grips are made from Lapierre foam and are available in various sizes. The stem is made from Lapierre 7050 alloy, has a 7° angle and is available in lengths ranging from 60 mm to 70 mm, depending on frame size.

The Prorace CF 5.9 rides on Rodi Tryp 25 Tubeless Ready rims in size 25-622, fitted with Maxxis Rekon Race EXO TR tyres in size 29x2.35, which provide excellent grip and control. The hubs are from Fastace, with the DF813 model at the front and the DR813 at the rear, both featuring a 6-bolt mounting.

The bike is rounded off by a Lapierre by Velo saddle and a Lapierre Alloy seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 400 mm, ensuring comfort even on long rides.
