Lapierre PRORACE 5.9

The "PRORACE 5.9" model from Lapierre, released in 2021, is a high-performance mountain bike fitted with a range of high-quality components. The frame is made from PRORACE 29" SUPREME 5 ALLOY DISC, featuring BOOST technology, a PressFit bottom bracket and a 12x148 thru-axle with an integrated brake mount for the rear brake. This design provides a stable and rigid base that meets the demands of challenging trails.

For the braking system, Lapierre has opted for the SHIMANO MT401 with J-Kit, which delivers reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The drivetrain is fitted with the SHIMANO Deore XT 12-speed system, ensuring precise and smooth gear changes. The FOX 32 RYTHM FLOAT fork, with 100 mm of travel and BOOST technology, complemented by a remote control, offers excellent damping characteristics and control over uneven terrain.

The bike is fitted with NW 91K pedals with steel cages, ensuring durability and a secure grip. The bottom bracket is a Shimano PF MTB92, which, in combination with the SHIMANO DEORE FCM 511 crankset in sizes 170 mm/32T (for XS, S) and 175 mm/32T (for M, L, XL), ensures efficient power transfer. The cassette is a Shimano Deore 12-speed with a range of 10 to 51 teeth (CSM6100), whilst the drivetrain also utilises the SHIMANO Deore 12-speed system (CN M6100).

The handlebars are LAPIERRE 6061 TOP FLAT, 720 mm wide and 31.8 mm in diameter, fitted with PRE FOAM GRIPS for a comfortable grip. The stem is made from LAPIERRE ALLOY 3D FORGED, has a 7° angle of inclination and is available in various lengths: 60 mm (XS, S), 70 mm (M, L) and 80 mm (XL). The headset is an FSA ORBIT 1.5Z SC NO.57SC.

The hubs are SHIMANO MT400, renowned for their reliability. The saddle is a LAPIERRE by VELO model, mounted on a LAPIERRE ALLOY FORGED seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 400 mm. Overall, the PRORACE 5.9 offers a well-thought-out combination of components, making it an attractive choice for mountain bike enthusiasts.
