Lapierre OVERVOLT TR 3.5

The 2021 OVERVOLT TR 3.5 model from Lapierre is a versatile e-mountain bike that stands out for its robust construction and reliable features. The frame is made from the high-quality OVERVOLT OST+ 120mm YAMAHA SUPREME 5 ALLOY BOOST, which has been specially optimised for use with the YAMAHA PW ST motor and features an improved mounting bracket and a plastic cover.

Effective braking performance is provided by the SHIMANO MT200 brakes, which are renowned for their reliability and ease of maintenance. Gear changes are handled by the SHIMANO ALIVIO RDM3100GS 9-speed SHADOW system, which ensures precise shifting. The SR SUNTOUR XCM 34 COIL LO R fork, with 130mm of travel, combined with the LAPIERRE METRIC shock absorber (190x40 mm), offers balanced suspension that provides both comfort and control on challenging trails.

The bike is fitted with FPD NW 91K pedals and features a LAPIERRE OVERVOLT YAMAHA WIDE NARROW crankset with 32 teeth and a length of 170 mm. The SUNRACE CSM090 sprocket, with a range of 11 to 36 teeth, ensures efficient power transfer in conjunction with the KMC 9-speed E9S chain.

The LAPIERRE ALLOY 6061 handlebars are 740mm wide and have a 25mm rise, whilst the LAPIERRE DD34 lock-on grips provide a secure grip. The LAPIERRE ALLOY stem has a 0° angle and a length of 45mm, matching the FSA Orbit 1.5 ZS NO.57SC headset, which ensures precise steering.

The SHIMANO MT400 BOOST hubs with THRU AXLE contribute to the bike’s stability and smooth ride. The XLC by DDK saddle, combined with the LAPIERRE ALLOY seatpost (Ø: 31.6mm, L: 350mm), ensures a comfortable riding position.

At the heart of the e-bike is the YAMAHA PW TE motor, which is powered by an integrated 500Wh battery and can be controlled via an LCD display, enabling intuitive operation and providing sufficient power for longer rides. The OVERVOLT TR 3.5 is therefore a well-designed e-mountain bike that is suitable for both beginners and experienced riders and performs well on a variety of terrains.
