Lapierre OVERVOLT AM 5.5

The 2021 "OVERVOLT AM 5.5" model from Lapierre is a full-suspension e-mountain bike equipped with a range of high-quality components to deliver outstanding performance on both challenging trails and longer rides. The bike’s frame is made from the robust OVERVOLT OST+ 150mm INTEGRATED YAMAHA SUPREME 5 ALLOY, which features an updated mount for Yamaha’s PW ST motor and is fitted with an additional plastic cover.

Braking performance is provided by the Shimano MT401 braking system, which enables reliable and controlled braking on a wide variety of terrain. Gear changes are handled by the Shimano Deore RD M6100 12-speed system, which offers precise and rapid gear changes. The RockShox 35 Silver TK Solo Air fork, with 150 mm of travel and E-MTB decals, ensures a smooth ride over uneven terrain. The suspension is complemented by the Lapierre Metric shock absorber, measuring 210x47.5.

The FPD NW 91K pedals and the Lapierre Overvolt Yamaha JIS Narrow Wide crankset, with 32 teeth and a length of 170 mm, contribute to the drivetrain’s efficiency. The Shimano Deore CS M6100 sprocket, with a range of 10 to 51 teeth, offers a wide variety of gear ratios, whilst the Shimano Deore CN M6100 chain ensures a smooth transfer of power.

The Lapierre Alloy 6061DB handlebars are 760 mm wide, with a 15 mm rise and a diameter of 31.8 mm, enabling comfortable and stable handling. The Lapierre DD34 Lock-on grips offer a secure grip and control. The Lapierre Alloy stem has the same diameter and is available in various lengths (50 mm) for sizes S, M, L and XL.

The FSA Orbit 1.5 ZS NO.57SC headset ensures precise steering, whilst the Shimano MT400 Boost hubs with thru-axle and 32-hole rims provide stability and durability. The saddle, a Lapierre by Velo model, offers comfort on long rides. The height-adjustable seatpost from Lapierre Dropper by JD, with 130 mm of travel (100 mm on size S), a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 350 mm, allows the rider to optimally adjust their riding position.

At the heart of the e-bike is the Yamaha PW ST motor with an integrated 500 Wh battery and an LCD display that shows key information such as speed, battery level and assistance mode. Overall, the OVERVOLT AM 5.5 offers a balanced combination of performance, comfort and versatility for discerning e-mountain bike enthusiasts.
