KTM SCARP PRIME

The "SCARP PRIME" model from KTM, released in 2022, is a state-of-the-art mountain bike characterised by its advanced technology and high-quality components. Priced at 6,799 EUR, it is aimed at discerning riders who value quality and performance.

At the heart of the SCARP PRIME is the Scarp 29" Premium Carbon SLL95mm UDH / M-2926 frame, which is renowned for its lightness and stability. The maximum rider weight is 121 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 10 kg, making it one of the lighter models in its class.

Braking is provided by Shimano XTR M9100 brakes with 2-piston technology and the matching Shimano MT900 CL 160 mm front brake discs, which deliver reliable braking performance even under demanding conditions. The drivetrain consists of the Shimano XTR M9100-12 SGS shadow+ 12-speed system, which can be shifted precisely using the Shimano XTR M9100-12 shift levers.

The RockShox SID SL Ultimate 29" fork with 100 mm travel and remote lockout, as well as the RockShox SID Luxe Ultimate shock with dimensions of 190x37.5 mm, ensure outstanding suspension and damping performance, providing comfort and control even on rough terrain.

The drivetrain consists of the Shimano M8100-12 system, with the Shimano XTR M9120 crankset (34T) and the Shimano Deore XT M8100-12 with a 10–51 gear range, ensuring optimum power transfer. The KTM Prime Carbon flat handlebars, 720 mm wide, and the KTM Team silicone grips offer comfortable and secure handling.

The KTM Prime MTB stem has a 6° angle, and the KTM Team drop/in headset is available in 1.1/8"-1.5" sizes. The wheels are Mavic Crossmax SL R29 Carbon CL, with front dimensions of 110/15TA and rear dimensions of 148/12TA, both with a rim size of 622x26TSS. These are fitted with Schwalbe Racing Ray Evo SuperRace TLE tyres at the front and Schwalbe Racing Ralph Evo SuperRace TLE tyres at the rear, both in size 57-622.

The Selle San Marco Aspide Short Open Fit Narrow saddle and the KTM Prime Carbon Zero seatpost, measuring 30.9/400, provide additional comfort and stability.
