KTM MACINA PROWLER ELITE

The “MACINA PROWLER ELITE” model from KTM, released in 2023, is a high-performance e-bike designed for challenging trails and off-road adventures. The price for this model is 6,499 EUR. At the heart of the bike is the Macina Prowler Dimmix Perf. Carbon SLL-LTE frame with 170 mm of travel and UDH, fitted with a Bosch Gen.4 motor and a PowerTube battery with a capacity of 750 Wh. The maximum permissible weight is 145 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 25 kg.

Reliable braking performance is provided by the Shimano M4100 / MT420 4-piston brakes. Shifting is precise thanks to the Shimano Deore XT M8100-12 SGS shadow+ drivetrain, controlled by the Shimano Deore M6100-12 shift lever. The RockShox Domain RC fork with 180 mm of travel and the FOX Float X Performance 2-Pos shock ensure optimum suspension and damping on uneven terrain.

The spec also includes aluminium MTB pedals (VPE-527 alloy), a KTM E-TRAIL ISIS crankset measuring 160 mm in length, and a Shimano Deore M6100-12 cassette with a gear ratio of 10-51. The handlebars are KTM Team Trail35 Rizer with a width of 800 mm, combined with Ergon GA20 grips and a KTM TEAM II Trail35 stem. The Acros AICR internal headset features angle limitation and ensures precise steering.

The wheel combination consists, at the front, of a KTM Line – Shimano MT410B CL 32H rim with Ambrosio E30 Trail 32H tyres and DT Champion 2.0 spokes, whilst at the rear a KTM Line - Shimano MT410B CL 32H rim with Ambrosio E35 Trail 32H and DT Alpine II 2.34 spokes. The tyres are Maxxis Minion DHF 3C-MaxxTerra/EXO/TR at the front and Maxxis Minion DHR II 3C-MaxxTerra/EXO/TR at the rear, providing excellent grip and stability.

The Selle San Marco Ground Short Open Fit Narrow saddle offers comfort on long rides, supported by the KTM COMP II dropper seatpost, which is internally routed. The saddle is clamped using a KTM Line JD-SC140A – 35.0 mm clamp.

Power is provided by the Bosch PERFORMANCE CX Gen.4 SMART SYSTEM motor, offering assistance up to 25 km/h and a torque of 85 Nm. The Bosch SMART SYSTEM also includes the LED remote display and the standard 4A charger. Overall, the MACINA PROWLER ELITE is a robust, well-equipped e-bike that impresses both in terms of technology and in practical use.
