KTM CHICAGO 271

The "CHICAGO 271" model from KTM, released in 2022, is a mountain bike available for 749 EUR. The frame is constructed from 27.5" 6061 alloy MTB tubing (M-1100-M) and the maximum permissible weight is 133 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 14 kg.

The Tektro HD-T275 model has been chosen for the brakes, complemented by a Shimano RT10 CL brake disc at the front measuring 180 mm and 160 mm at the rear. The gear system is a Shimano Altus M2000-SGS Shadow with a total of 27 gears, controlled via the Shimano Altus M2010 w/OGD shifter. The front derailleur is also a Shimano Altus M2000.

The bike’s fork is a Suntour SF19-XCT30 HLO DS, which ensures a stable and comfortable ride. The pedals are KTM LINE MTB BF, and the crankset consists of a Shimano MT101 with 40-30-22T chainrings. The cassette is a Shimano Alivio HG200-9 with a range of 11-36T, and the drivetrain uses a KMC Z9 chain.

The handlebars are KTM LINE Riser 12, and the grips are also from KTM LINE MTB. The stem has a 7° angle and is also from the KTM LINE range. The headset is a RITCHEY Zero Logic PRESS FIT 1-1/8".

The tyres are SCHWALBE SMART SAM K-Guard 57-584 in bronze, fitted to both the front and rear. The wheelsets consist of a front wheel: KTM Line – Shimano Tourney HB-TX505 CL 32H 100 QR and a rear wheel:KTM Line – Shimano Tourney FH-TX505-8 CL 32H 135 QR, both fitted with KTM 27.5" Sport rims and Pillar 2.0 INOX silver spokes.

The saddle is a KTM LINE SPORT model and the seatpost is also from the KTM LINE series, with a diameter of 27.2 mm. This mountain bike offers a solid spec for beginners and intermediate riders looking for a reliable and well-equipped bike.
