GIANT TCR Advanced 2

The "TCR Advanced 2" model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a high-performance road bike designed for ambitious riders. Priced at 2499 EUR, this bike offers high-quality components and modern technology. The frame is made from Advanced Carbon and features a 12x142 mm axle width, ensuring high stiffness and stability. The maximum tyre clearance is 32 mm, allowing for the fitting of wider tyres.

The brakes are Shimano 105 HRD disc brakes with 160 mm at the front and 140 mm at the rear, ensuring reliable braking performance in all conditions. The brake levers are also Shimano 105 HRD. The drivetrain consists of an 11-speed Shimano 105 groupset, which enables precise and smooth gear changes. The shifters are Shimano 105 double-pull, and the front derailleur is also from the Shimano 105 series.

The TCR Advanced 2’s fork is a GIANT TCR Advanced full-carbon fork with OverDrive1 and a 12x100 mm axle width, which contributes to its low weight and high stiffness. The bottom bracket is a Shimano PressFit, and the crankset is a Shimano 105 with 52/36T chainrings. The cassette is a Shimano 105 with an 11–30T range, and a KMC X11EL-1 chain is used.

The handlebars and stem are both GIANT Contact, with the stem measuring 110 mm in length and the handlebars 440 mm in width. The grips are GIANT Stratus Lite 2.0, which ensure comfort and a good grip. The rims are GIANT P-R2 Disc Tubeless Ready, as are the tyres, which are GIANT Gavia Course 1 in size 700x25c and feature a 60 TPI casing. The bike is supplied tubeless, which reduces weight and increases puncture resistance.

The hubs and spokes are also GIANT P-R2 Disc, and the saddle is a GIANT Approach, mounted on a GIANT Variant Carbon seatpost. The package includes a tubeless kit comprising sealant, valves, tyre levers, a valve core tool and an instruction manual.

The frame geometry offers a sporty riding position with a reach of 402 mm and a stack of 581 mm. The seat tube length is 530 mm, whilst the top tube measures 580 mm in length. The head tube angle and seat tube angle are both 73 degrees. The head tube is 185 mm long, the chainstays are 405 mm long, and the bottom bracket drop is 67 mm. The fork offset is 45 mm, and the standover height is 800 mm. The crank length is 175 mm, and the wheelbase measures 1006 mm in total.

The GIANT TCR Advanced 2 is therefore a well-equipped road bike which, thanks to its high-quality components and well-thought-out geometry, is suitable for both competitions and demanding training rides.
