GIANT Revolt Advanced 2

The "Revolt Advanced 2" model from the GIANT brand from 2023 is a versatile gravel bike that is characterised by its high-quality components and well thought-out design. With a price tag of EUR 2799, it offers an excellent combination of performance and reliability.

The frame of the Revolt Advanced 2 is made of Advanced Carbon and features a flip chip dropout and a 12x142 mm axle. This allows a maximum tyre clearance of 45 mm with a short dropout and 53 mm with a long dropout. The fork is also made of full carbon and equipped with OverDrive1 and a 12x100 mm axle, which ensures precise steering and high stability.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-RX400 HRD disc brakes with 160 mm rotors, which are operated by Shimano GRX RX-600 HRD brake levers. This braking system ensures reliable deceleration in all conditions. The shifting system consists of a Shimano GRX RX-810, 11-speed groupset and a Shimano GRX RX-600, 2-speed shifter. The front derailleur is also a Shimano GRX RX-810, which enables precise and smooth gear changes.

The bottom bracket is an FSA BB-AL86, while the crankset consists of an FSA Omega Modular AGX+ with 48/32T chainrings. The sprocket is a Shimano 105, 11-34T, and the chain is a KMC X-11EL-1. This combination offers a wide gear range that is ideal for different types of terrain.

The handlebar is a GIANT Contact XR D-Fuse with a width of 440 mm, paired with GIANT Stratus Lite 3.0 grips and a GIANT Contact stem with a length of 70 mm. The rims are GIANT P-X2 Disc, tubeless ready, and the tyres are GIANT CrossCut AT1, 700x38c, also tubeless ready with 60 TPI. The bike is supplied tubeless and includes a tubeless kit with sealant, valves, tyre levers, valve core tool and operating instructions.

The hubs and spokes are also GIANT P-X2 Disc. The saddle is a GIANT Approach, mounted on a GIANT Contact D-Fuse seatpost, which is also compatible with 30.9 mm Vario seatposts. The bike is also compatible with the GIANT Rack-It Metro (Lite) pannier rack.

The geometry of the frame includes a reach of 387 mm, a stack of 586 mm, a seat tube length of 470 mm and a top tube length of 560 mm. The head tube angle is 72 degrees and the seat tube angle is 74 degrees. The head tube length is 150 mm, the chainstay length is 425 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 80 mm and the fork pre-bend is 50 mm. The standover height is 757 mm and the crank length is 173 mm. The wheelbase of the bike measures a total of 1026 mm.
