GIANT Revolt 2

The "Revolt 2" model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a versatile gravel bike which, at a price of 1399 EUR, is an attractive option for cyclists who want to ride both on the road and off-road. The bike’s frame is made from robust AluxX material and features a flip-chip dropout and a 12x142 mm axle, allowing for a maximum tyre clearance of 45 mm (short) or 53 mm (long).

The brakes are mechanical Tektro MD-C550s with 160 mm brake discs, which, in combination with the Shimano Sora brake levers, deliver reliable braking performance. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Sora 9-speed groupset, operated by Shimano Sora shifters with a 2-speed front derailleur. This ensures precise gear changes and smooth shifting performance overall.

The bike is fitted with a GIANT Revolt Advanced full-carbon fork, which ensures a stable and comfortable ride thanks to OverDrive1 and a 12x100 mm axle. Pedals are not included, so individual preferences can be taken into account. The bottom bracket is an FSA MegaExo, whilst the crankset consists of FSA Vero Pro with 48/32T chainrings. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG400 with a gear range of 11–34T, and the drivetrain is completed by a KMC X-9 chain.

The GIANT Contact XR Ergo handlebars are 460 mm wide and, together with the GIANT Cork grips and the GIANT Sport stem (110 mm long), provide a comfortable hand position. The rims are GIANT S-X2 Disc Tubeless Ready, fitted with GIANT CrossCut AT2 tyres in size 700x38c, which are also Tubeless Ready and feature a 30 TPI casing. The hubs and spokes are also GIANT S-X2 Disc.

The saddle is a GIANT Approach model, mounted on a GIANT D-Fuse seatpost, which is also compatible with 30.9 mm seatposts. The bike is also compatible with the GIANT Rack-It Metro (Lite) luggage rack. A tubeless kit, comprising sealant, valves, tyre levers, a valve core tool and an instruction manual, is also included.

In terms of geometry, the Revolt 2 offers a reach of 407 mm and a stack of 630 mm. The seat tube length is 530 mm, whilst the top tube length is 600 mm. The head tube angle is 72 degrees and the seat tube angle is 73 degrees. The head tube length measures 195 mm, the chainstay length is 430 mm and the bottom bracket drop is 80 mm. The fork offset is 50 mm and the top tube height is 801 mm. Finally, the bike has a crank length of 175 mm and a wheelbase of 1061 mm.
