GIANT Defy Advanced 2

The "Defy Advanced 2" model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a high-quality road bike that stands out for its advanced features and well-thought-out design. The price for this model is 2499 EUR.

The Defy Advanced 2’s frame is made from Advanced Carbon and offers tyre clearance of up to 35 mm. This allows for flexible adaptation to different road conditions. The fork is also made from full carbon and features the OverDrive1 system as well as a 12x100 mm axle, ensuring additional stiffness and precise steering.

The brakes are Shimano 105 HRD disc brakes with a 160 mm diameter, which ensure reliable braking performance in all weather conditions. The brake levers are also Shimano 105 HRD and offer ergonomic comfort and precise control.

The gear system consists of a Shimano 105 11-speed groupset, combined with Shimano 105 double-ring shifters and a Shimano 105 front derailleur. The crankset is a Shimano RS510 with 50/34T chainrings, and the cassette is a Shimano 105 with a 11–34T range. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X11EL-1 chain.

The handlebars are GIANT Contact SL D-Fuse, which, combined with GIANT Stratus Lite 3.0 grips, ensure comfort and control. The stem is a GIANT Contact with a length of 90 mm, and the handlebars are 400 mm wide.

The Defy Advanced 2’s rims are GIANT P-R2 Disc, which are tubeless-ready and fitted with GIANT Gavia Fondo 1 tyres in size 700x32c. The tyres are also tubeless-ready and have a TPI of 60. The bike is supplied tubeless and includes a tubeless kit comprising sealant, valves, tyre levers, a valve core tool and an instruction manual.
