Cube Reaction Hybrid Performance 625

The "Reaction Hybrid Performance 625" model from Cube, released in 2021, is a versatile e-bike available at a price of 2549 EUR. The frame is made from Superlite aluminium and utilises Gravity Casting technology and Agile Ride Geometry, ensuring high stability and agile handling. The frame features a tapered head tube and internal cable routing, which ensures a clean look and protects the cables. The fully integrated battery also contributes to the bike’s sleek design. Furthermore, the frame offers mounting points for a kickstand, mudguards and a luggage rack.

Weighing in at 24 kg, the bike is robust yet manoeuvrable. Reliable braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors at the front and rear. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano RD-M3100-SGS rear derailleur with 9 speeds and Shimano SL-M3100-R Rapidfire-Plus shift levers. The SR Suntour XCM ATB coil suspension fork, with 100 mm of travel, provides additional comfort and control on uneven trails.

The bike is fitted with high-quality lighting: the CUBE Shiny front light provides 50 lux and is powered by 12V DC, whilst the ACID Mudguard Rear Light PRO-E is also powered by 12V DC. The CUBE PP MTB pedals offer a secure grip, whilst the ACID E-Crank crankset, with 38 teeth and a length of 175 mm, ensures efficient power transfer. The Shimano CS-HG201 cassette has a range of 11–36 teeth and is driven by a KMC X9 chain.

The CUBE Rise Trail Bar measures 720 mm and the CUBE Performance Grips ensure comfortable handling. The CUBE Performance Stem Pro has a diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset consists of ACROS components, which ensure stability and precision. The CUBE EX23 rims are tubeless-ready and, in combination with the Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres (2.35), offer excellent traction and puncture resistance.

The hubs are by Shimano: at the front, the HB-TX505 model with quick-release and CentreLock brake disc mount; at the rear, the FH-TX505 model, also with quick-release and CentreLock. The Natural Fit Sequence saddle and the CUBE Performance seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm, as well as the CUBE Varioclose seatpost clamp (34.9 mm), ensure comfort and stability. The ACID 65 mudguards offer protection against dirt and wet conditions, whilst the CUBEstand Cmpt kickstand ensures the bike stands securely.

The bike’s drive system is powered by the Bosch Drive Unit Performance Generation 3 motor, delivering 65 Nm of torque and 250 watts of power. The Bosch PowerTube 625 battery offers a long range, whilst the Bosch Purion display enables simple and intuitive operation.
