Cube Kathmandu Pro grey´n´black

The "Kathmandu Pro grey'n'black" model from Cube, released in 2022, is a versatile trekking bike priced at 1,099 EUR. It features a Superlite aluminium frame with Trekking Comfort, IC 3.0 and double-butted construction, which ensures a balanced combination of lightness and stability.

The braking system consists of Shimano BR-MT200/UR300 hydraulic disc brakes (160/160), which ensure reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The gear system is supported by the Shimano XT RD-T8000 10-speed rear derailleur and the Shimano Deore SL-M6000 Rapidfire-Plus shift levers. The front derailleur is a Shimano Deore FD-T6000 Top-Swing with a 31.8mm clamp.

The SR Suntour NCX D LO Air fork, with 63mm of travel and a lockout function, offers comfort and control on a wide variety of terrain. Lighting is provided by the CUBE Shiny 50 front light and the ACID Mudguard Rear Light PRO-D, which is powered by 6V AC.

The bike is fitted with ACID PP trekking pedals and features a Shimano FC-T551 crankset with Hollowtech II technology, a 48x36x26T chainring setup and a chain guide. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG500 with an 11–34T range, driven by a KMC X10 chain.

The handlebars are CUBE Comfort Trail Bars with a width of 660mm, complemented by Natural Fit Comfort grips. The stem is a CUBE Performance Stem Pro with a diameter of 31.8mm. The headset is a VP Integrated System, measuring 1 1/8" at the top and 1 1/2" at the bottom.

The rims are CUBE ZX20 models with 32 spokes and disc brake mounts. The tyres are Schwalbe Range Cruiser Active in size 47-622, which provide good grip and puncture protection. The front hub is a Shimano DH-3D37 hub dynamo with quick-release and Centre Lock, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano FH-MT400 with a 12 mm axle and Centre Lock.

The saddle is a Natural Fit Sequence Comfort model, fitted to a CUBE Performance seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm. The saddle is secured using a CUBE Screwlock clamp with a diameter of 31.8 mm.

The bike is also fitted with ACID 56 mudguards, an ACID Pro Flat Mount kickstand and a CUBE Integrated Carrier 3.0 luggage rack, which is compatible with the ACID RILink adapter. These features make the Kathmandu Pro grey’n’black a reliable companion for longer tours and everyday use.
