Bergamont Vitess 6 Gent

The "Vitess 6 Gent" model from the "Bergamont" brand, released in 2022, is a high-quality trekking bike characterised by its robust construction and comprehensive range of features. The frame is made from ultra-lightweight AL-6061 aluminium and is designed for 28-inch wheels. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike’s own weight is 15 kg.

For the braking system, Bergamont has opted for Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, which, in combination with the Shimano BL-MT200 brake levers and the 160 mm Shimano SM-RT10 front brake discs, ensure reliable and safe deceleration. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano RD-M3100 Shadow groupset and a Shimano SL-M2010 shifter with 3x9 gears, enabling precise and rapid gear changes. The front derailleur is a Shimano FD-M370.

The Vitess 6 Gent’s fork is a rigid BGM Trekking fork made of aluminium, featuring an aluminium steerer tube and disc brake mounts. Lighting is provided by the B&M Upp N Plus front light with 35 lux and LED technology, and the B&M Toplight 2 C Plus rear light, also featuring LED and a parking light function.

The pedals are made from aluminium for trekking use, and the bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-UN101 BSA. The crankset consists of a Shimano FC-T3010 with chainrings in sizes 48/36/26 teeth and a chain guard. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG200-9 with a range of 11–32 teeth, and the chain is a KMC X9.

The handlebars are BGM Pro Riser Bars with a 15° backsweep; the grips are ergonomic BGM Comfort grips with dual-density padding and a clamp-on design. The stem is a BGM Pro multi-position stem with an adjustable angle of 10° to 25° and a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is a semi-integrated BGM Comp A-Headset with a size of 1 1/8".

The rims are BGM Pro X15 disc rims with 32 spoke holes, fitted with Schwalbe Big Ben tyres, which feature Kevlarguard puncture protection and reflective strips. The hubs are a Shimano DH-3D37 hub dynamo at the front and a Shimano hub at the rear, both with Centre Lock disc brake mounts and quick-release skewers. The spokes are made of black steel.

The saddle is a Syncros Capilano trekking model, mounted on a BGM Comp seatpost. SKS mudguards with stainless steel struts provide protection against dirt and wet conditions, whilst an Atran kickstand ensures the bike stands securely. The luggage rack is a BGM Trekking aluminium rack with the Racktime Snapit 2.0 system and integrated mudguard mounts.
