Bergamont Vitess 6 Gent

The "Vitess 6 Gent" model from Bergamont, released in 2021, is a versatile trekking bike available at a price of 899 EUR. The frame is made from an ultra-light AL-6061 tube set and is designed for 28-inch wheels. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 15 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT200) with SM-RT10 rotors, each measuring 160 mm in diameter at both the front and rear. The brake levers are also by Shimano (BL-MT200). The derailleur is a Shimano Deore (RD-M592), which offers 27 gears and is operated using Shimano SL-M2010 Rapidfire Plus shifters. The front derailleur is a Shimano FD-M370.

The fork is a BGM Trekking rigid aluminium fork with an aluminium steerer tube and disc mount. Lighting is provided at the front by a B&M Upp N Plus LED light with 30 lux and a parking light function, whilst a B&M Toplight 2 C Plus LED rear light with parking light is fitted at the rear. The pedals are made of robust aluminium trekking pedals.

The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-UN101 with a BSA thread, and the crankset is a Shimano FC-T3010 with a chain guard and 48/36/26-tooth chainrings. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG200-9 with a range of 11–32 teeth, and the chain is a KMC X9.

The handlebars are BGM Pro Riser handlebars with a 15-degree rise, fitted with BGM Comfort Ergo Double Density screw-on grips. The stem is a BGM Pro Multiposition stem, which is adjustable between 10 and 25 degrees and has a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is a semi-integrated BGM Comp A-Headset with a diameter of 1 1/8 inches.

The rims are BGM Pro X15 disc rims with 32 spokes, and the tyres are Schwalbe Big Ben with Kevlarguard and reflective strips in size 50-622. The hubs consist of a Shimano hub dynamo (DH-3D37) for the front axle and a Shimano Centre Lock disc hub for the rear axle, both fitted with quick-release skewers. The spokes are made of black steel.

The saddle is an Ergon ST10, fitted to a BGM Comp seatpost. SKS mudguards with stainless steel struts protect against dirt and wet conditions. An Atran kickstand ensures the bike stands securely, whilst the BGM Trekking aluminium luggage rack with the Racktime Snapit system and integrated mudguard mounts provides additional storage space.

The frame geometry comprises a reach of 404 mm, a stack of 607 mm, a seat tube length of 455 mm, a top tube length of 595 mm, a head tube angle of 70 degrees, a seat tube angle of 72 degrees, a head tube length of 130 mm, a chainstay length of 455 mm, a bottom bracket drop of 60 mm, a fork offset of 42 mm, a top tube height of 785 mm, a fork installation height of 464 mm and a wheelbase of 1098 mm.
