Bergamont Revox 8

The "Revox 8" model from Bergamont, launched in 2022, offers a balanced combination of lightness, stability and performance. Priced at 1,399 EUR, it is an attractive option for ambitious mountain bikers. The frame is made from ultra-lightweight AL-6061 tubing and is designed for 29-inch tyres, resulting in a low total weight of just 12 kg. The maximum load capacity is 115 kg, ensuring a robust construction and high load-bearing capacity.

The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT410) and matching brake levers (BL-MT4100) provide reliable braking power and control. The brake discs measure 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear (Shimano SM-RT10), ensuring optimum braking performance in a variety of conditions.

The derailleur is a Shimano Deore XT (RD-M8100) with Shadow Plus technology and, together with the shift lever (SL-M6100), offers precise and fast shifting. The 1x12-speed system offers a wide range of gear ratios, supported by the crankset (FC-M6100) with 32 teeth and the cassette (CS-M6100) with 10–51 teeth.

The RockShox Judy Silver TK fork, with 100 mm of travel and remote lockout, ensures a comfortable ride over uneven terrain. The pedals are the VP-536 model, whilst the bottom bracket is a Shimano Hollowtech II with a BSA thread.

The handlebars (Syncros 3.0) are 720 mm wide and are riser bars, which allow for an ergonomic riding position. The grips are also by Syncros and are specifically designed for MTB. The stem (Syncros 3.0) has an angle of +/-7°, whilst the headset (Prestine PT1805) is semi-integrated.

The Revox 8’s rims are Alex X25, designed for disc brakes and 25 mm wide. The tyres are Schwalbe Racing Ralph Performance TLR, size 57-622, which provide excellent grip and rolling performance. The hubs are Shimano HB-MT200 at the front and Shimano FH-MT401 at the rear, both featuring Centre Lock disc brake mounts and quick-release skewers.

The spokes are made from black stainless steel, which contributes to the bike’s overall aesthetic. The saddle is a Syncros Tofino 2.5, offering comfort even on longer rides, and the seatpost is also by Syncros (model 3.0).
