Bergamont Revox 5

The "Revox 5" model from Bergamont, released in 2021, is a versatile mountain bike that stands out for its high-quality components and well-thought-out design. Priced at 799 EUR, it offers excellent value for money. The frame is made from an ultra-light AL-6061 tube set and is available in 29-inch and 27.5-inch sizes. The maximum load capacity is 115 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs in at 14 kg.

For the brakes, Bergamont has opted for Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT200) with SM-RT10 rotors measuring 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear. The brake levers are also from Shimano (BL-MT200) and ensure reliable and precise braking performance. The drivetrain is fitted with the Shimano Deore RD-M4120 Shadow rear derailleur and offers a total of 20 gears with a 2x10-speed drivetrain. The shift levers are the Shimano Deore SL-M5100L/SL-M4100R Rapidfire Plus models, which enable fast and precise gear changes. The front derailleur is a Shimano Deore FD-M6025.

The Revox 5’s fork is a Suntour XCM-ATB HLO DS with 100 mm of travel, which provides comfortable suspension. The pedals are Wellgo LU895, whilst the bottom bracket is a Shimano Hollowtech II with a BSA thread. The crankset is a Shimano Deore FC-M4100 with 36/26t chainrings, combined with a Shimano Deore CS-M4100 cassette with 11–42t. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X10 chain.

The handlebars are Syncros 3.0 riser bars with a width of 700 mm, complemented by Syncros MTB grips. The stem is also a Syncros 3.0 model with an angle of +/-6 degrees. The headset is a semi-integrated BGM FP-H807B A-Headset with a size of 1 1/8 inches.

The rims are Alex X25 Disc models, 25 mm wide, fitted with Kenda Booster tyres in sizes 29x2.40 inches or 27.5x2.40 inches. The hubs are Shimano Centrelock Disc models with quick-release skewers, and the spokes are made from black stainless steel.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino 2.5, mounted on a Syncros 3.0 seatpost. Further geometry specifications include a reach of 378 mm, a stack of 596 mm, a seat tube length of 360 mm and a top tube length of 555 mm. The head tube angle is 69 degrees, the seat tube angle 73 degrees, the head tube length 110 mm, the chainstay length 430 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 55 mm, the fork offset is 42 mm, the top tube height is 721 mm, the fork installation height is 483 mm and the wheelbase measures 1052 mm in total.

The Bergamont Revox 5 therefore offers solid specifications and well-thought-out geometry, making it suitable for both beginners and advanced riders.
