Bergamont Horizon 9 Lady

The "Horizon 9 Lady" model from Bergamont, released in 2022, is a high-quality trekking bike designed specifically for women. It is available for €1,699 and stands out for its robust yet lightweight components. The frame is made from 28" ultra-lite AL-6061 tubing and supports a maximum load of up to 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 14 kg.

The Horizon 9 Lady is fitted with hydraulic disc brakes, featuring a 180 mm Shimano SM-RT54 brake disc at the front and a 160 mm disc at the rear. The brakes and brake levers are from the Shimano Deore series (BR-M6000 and BL-T6000), ensuring reliable braking performance. The rear derailleur is a Shimano Deore XT (RD-T8000, Shadow) with a 3x10-speed RapidFire Plus shifter (SL-T8000), which enables precise and fast gear changes. The front derailleur is also a Shimano Deore XT (FD-T8000).

The Suntour NRX D Air LO fork, with 63 mm of travel and a lockout function, ensures a comfortable ride even on uneven terrain. For lighting, a B&M IQ-XS N Plus front light with 80 lux and a B&M Toplight 2 C Plus rear light are fitted, both with a parking light function. The pedals are made of aluminium and designed for trekking.

The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-MT800 (BSA), and the crankset is a Shimano Deore XT (FC-T8000) with 48/36/26 teeth and a chain guard. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG50 with a range of 11–36 teeth, and the drivetrain uses a Shimano CN-HG54 chain.

The handlebars, a BGM Pro Riserbar with a 15° backsweep, and the Ergon GP10 grips offer comfort and control. The stem is a BGM Pro Multiposition with an angle of 10°/25° and a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is a BGM Comp A-Headset, semi-integrated, 1 1/8".

The rims are BGM Pro X15 Disc with 32 spoke holes, and the tyres are Schwalbe Marathon Almotion with Raceguard technology and reflective strips (50-622). The hubs consist of a Shutter Precision Dynamo Hub (SP PL-8) at the front and a Shimano Deore XT rear hub (FH-M8000), both with Centre Lock disc mounts and quick-release mechanisms. The spokes are made of black stainless steel.

The saddle is a Syncros Capilano Trekking with memory foam, mounted on a Post Moderne PM-780E suspension seatpost. SKS mudguards with stainless steel struts are fitted to protect against dirt and water. An Atran kickstand ensures the bike stands securely, and the luggage rack is a Racktime/BGM Trekking Pro with the Snapit 2.0 system and an integrated mudguard mount.
