Bergamont Horizon 7 Gent

The "Horizon 7 Gent" model from the "Bergamont" brand, released in 2021, offers a wide range of technical features and solid specifications at a price of 1,099 EUR. The frame is constructed from a 28-inch ultra-lite AL-6061 tube set and contributes to a total weight of 15 kg, whilst the maximum load capacity is 130 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes – specifically the BR-MT200 model – with SM-RT10 rotors measuring 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear. The brake levers are also by Shimano, model BL-MT200. The rear derailleur is a Shimano Deore XT, model RD-T8000, Shadow, paired with a Shimano Deore SL-T6000 shifter, enabling a 3x10-speed configuration. The front derailleur is a Shimano Deore, model FD-T6000.

The Horizon 7 Gent’s fork is a Suntour NRX D with 63 mm of travel and adjustable preload. Lighting is provided by a B&M Avy N Plus front light with a 40 lux LED and parking light, and a B&M Toplight 2 C Plus rear light, also LED with a parking light. The pedals are made of aluminium and are designed for trekking.

The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-ES300 (Octalink), and the crankset is a Shimano FC-T521 with 48/36/26 teeth and a chain guard. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG500 with 11–32 teeth, and the drivetrain uses a KMC X10 chain.

The handlebars are BGM Pro Riser handlebars with a 15-degree bend, and the grips are BGM Comfort Ergo Double Density screw-on grips. The stem is a BGM Pro Multiposition with an angle of 10 degrees/25 degrees and a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is a BGM Comp A-Headset, semi-integrated, 1 1/8 inch.

The rims are BGM Pro X15 Disc with 32 spokes, made from black stainless steel. The tyres are Schwalbe Marathon Racer with Raceguard and reflective strips, size 40-622. The hubs comprise a Shimano DH-3D37 Centre Lock disc quick-release hub with hub dynamo at the front and a Shimano FH-M4050 Centre Lock disc quick-release hub at the rear.

The saddle is an Ergon ST10, and the seatpost is a Post Moderne PM-780E suspension seatpost. The mudguards are by SKS with stainless steel struts, and the kickstand is by Atran. The luggage rack is a Racktime/BGM Trekking Pro with integrated mudguard mounts.
