Bergamont Horizon 4 Lady

The “Horizon 4 Lady” model from the “Bergamont” brand, released in 2022, is a versatile trekking bike designed specifically for women. It offers a balanced combination of comfort, functionality and reliability. The frame is made from lightweight AL-6061 aluminium with a 28-inch size and contributes to a total weight of 17 kg. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, which provides ample scope for both the rider and luggage.

The Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, together with the Shimano ST-EF505 brake levers, ensure safe and reliable braking performance. The front brake disc has a diameter of 160 mm (Shimano SM-RT10), which guarantees effective braking power. The gear system consists of a Shimano RD-T4000 rear derailleur and a Shimano FD-TY710 front derailleur, which, together with the Shimano ST-EF505 shift levers, provide a 3x8-speed drivetrain.

The Suntour NEX DS fork, with 63 mm of travel and adjustable preload, provides additional comfort on uneven roads and paths. Lighting is provided by an Axa Compactline front light with 20 lux and a parking light, as well as a Trelock LS613 Duo Flat rear light with LED and a parking light. This lighting ensures good visibility and safety in the dark.

The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-UN101 with a BSA thread, and the crankset consists of a Shimano FC-TY301 with 48/38/28-tooth chainrings and a chain guard. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG200-8 with a 12–32-tooth range, and the drivetrain uses a KMC Z8 chain.

The handlebars are BGM Comp Riser Bars with a 33° rise, and the grips are ergonomic BGM Comfort grips in a double-sealed clamp version. The stem is an adjustable BGM Comp with a clamp diameter of 25.4 mm. The headset is a semi-integrated threaded BGM Comp with a size of 1 1/8".

The rims are BGM Comp X2 Disc rims with 32 spokes; the tyres are Schwalbe Road Cruiser with Kevlarguard and a reflective strip, size 47-622. The hubs consist of a Shimano DH-3D37 hub dynamo at the front and a Shimano hub gear at the rear, both with Centre Lock brake disc mounts and quick-release skewers.

The saddle is a Syncros Capilano Urban, mounted on a Post Moderne PM-780E suspension seatpost. The bike is also fitted with SKS mudguards with stainless steel struts, an SKS Chainblade chain guard, an Atran kickstand and a BGM Trekking luggage rack, which incorporates the Racktime Snapit 2.0 system and features a mudguard mount.
