Bergamont Grandurance RD 7

The 2021 Grandurance RD 7 model from Bergamont is a versatile and high-performance bicycle, available at a price of 1,799 EUR. It is characterised by a range of high-quality technical features and a robust build. The frame is made from an ultra-lightweight AL-6061 tube set and has a 28-inch size. The maximum load capacity is 115 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 12 kg.

The Grandurance RD 7’s braking system consists of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, model BR-R7070, with SM-RT64 rotors measuring 160/160 mm. The brake levers are also by Shimano, model ST-R7020. The drivetrain is provided by the Shimano 105 RD-R7000 Shadow with 22 gears, operated via Shimano 105 ST-R7020 shift levers. The front derailleur is a Shimano 105 FD-R7000.

The bike’s fork is made of aluminium and features a 12x100 mm axle and mudguard mounts. It offers 100 mm of travel. Safety on the road is ensured by the Herrmans H-Black MR8 front light with 180 lumens and a parking light, as well as the Herrmans H-Trace Mini rear light with LED and parking light function.

The Grandurance RD 7 is supplied without pedals. The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-RS500 (BSA), and the crankset is a Shimano 105 FC-R7000 with 50/34t. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG700 with a 11–34t range, whilst the drivetrain uses a KMC X11 chain.

The handlebars are Syncros Creston 2.0 with a 10-degree flare, and the grips are BGM Race Grip-Tape with anti-slip properties. The stem is a Syncros RR2.5 with an angle of +/- 6 degrees. The steering system features a BGM F13-C A-Headset, which is semi-integrated and tapered.

The rims are Shining DB-T260 disc rims, fitted with Schwalbe G-One Allround folding tyres in size 35-622. The hubs are a Shimano DH-UR705 Centre Lock Disc hub dynamo with a 12x100 mm axle at the front and a BGM Allroad Centre Lock Disc hub with a 12x142 mm axle at the rear. The spokes are made of black stainless steel.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino 2.5, mounted on a Syncros 2.5 seatpost. The bike is also fitted with BGM Allroad mudguards, 40 mm wide, and a Racktime / BGM Allroad Carrier luggage rack with the SnapIt system.

The frame geometry comprises a reach of 385 mm, a stack of 541 mm, a seat tube length of 475 mm and a top tube length of 530 mm. The head tube angle is 70 degrees, the seat tube angle is 75 degrees, and the head tube length is 115 mm. The chainstay length is 425 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 70 mm, the fork offset is 50 mm, the standover height is 740 mm, the fork installation height is 405 mm and the wheelbase is 1030 mm in total.
