Bergamont Grandurance RD 5

The "Grandurance RD 5" model from Bergamont, released in 2022, is a versatile and robust bicycle available for 1,799 EUR. It features a lightweight frame made from ultra-lite AL-6061 tubing with a 28-inch size. The maximum load capacity is 115 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 13 kg.

Braking performance is provided by the Shimano GRX hydraulic disc brake system (BR-RX400), which is fitted with Shimano GRX ST-RX400 brake levers and a front Shimano SM-RT64 brake disc with a diameter of 160 mm. Gear changes are managed by the Shimano GRX system, comprising the RD-RX400 Shadow Plus rear derailleur and an FD-RX400 front derailleur, controlled by the Shimano GRX ST-RX400 shift levers with 2x10 speeds.

The Grandurance RD 5’s fork is a Grandurance Alloy model with quick-release skewers and mounts for mudguards. Lighting is provided by the Herrmans H-Black MR4 LED front light and the Herrmans H-Trace Mini LED rear light, both with a parking light function. The bike is supplied without pedals.

The bottom bracket is a Shimano Hollowtech II, BSA, and the crankset is a Shimano GRX, FC-RX600 with 46/30 teeth. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG50 with a range of 11–36 teeth, and the drivetrain uses a KMC X10 chain. The handlebars are Satori X-Race with a 16° flare, fitted with BGM Race grip tape, which is non-slip. The stem is a Syncros RR2.5 with an angle of +/- 6°, and the headset is an Acros ZS56, semi-integrated and tapered.

The rims are Shining DB-T260 disc rims, fitted with Schwalbe G-One Allround tyres in size 40-622, which are foldable, Tubeless-Easy and feature Raceguard. The hubs consist of a Shimano DH-3D72 hub dynamo at the front and a BGM Pro hub at the rear, both with Centre Lock and quick-release mechanisms. The spokes are made of black stainless steel.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino 2.5, mounted on a Syncros 2.5 seatpost. The bike is also fitted with BGM Allroad mudguards (50 mm wide) and a Racktime/BGM Allroad luggage rack, which supports the Snapit 2.0 system. The model code for this bike is: BGM Grandurance RD 5 49.
