Bergamont Grandurance 8

The Grandurance 8 model from Bergamont, released in 2024, is a versatile and high-specification bike that is particularly suitable for riders between 156 cm and 167 cm tall. Priced at 1,999 EUR, this bike offers excellent value for money.

The Grandurance 8’s frame is made from an ultra-light AL-6061 tube set and features 28-inch wheels. The maximum load capacity is 120 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 10 kg. The bike is fitted with a high-quality Shimano GRX groupset, which ensures precise and reliable gear changes. The drivetrain is a 1x11-speed system featuring a Shimano GRX RD-RX812 Shadow Plus rear derailleur and Shimano GRX ST-RX600 shift levers.

The brakes are also Shimano GRX, with BR-RX400 hydraulic disc brakes fitted to both the front and rear. The brake levers are the Shimano GRX BL-RX600 for the front wheel and ST-RX600 for the rear wheel, combined with 160 mm Shimano SM-RT64 brake discs.

The fork is a BGM Allroad Carbon, including a carbon head tube, and features flat-mount mounts as well as three mounting eyelets on each side. The crankset is a Shimano GRX FC-RX600 with 40 teeth, and the cassette is a Shimano SLX CS-M7000 with a range of 11–42 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC X11 chain.

The hubs are BGM Allroad Centre Lock disc hubs with a 12x100 mm axle at the front and a 12x142 mm axle at the rear.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino 2.5, mounted on a Syncros seatpost. The packaging dimensions are 27 mm wide, 81 mm high and 158 mm long, with a gross weight of 17,640 g.

The frame geometry comprises a reach of 380 mm, a stack of 560 mm, a seat tube length of 485 mm and a top tube length of 530 mm. The head tube angle is 70 degrees, and the seat tube angle is 75 degrees. The head tube length is 120 mm and the chainstay length is 435 mm. The bottom bracket drop is 70 mm, the fork offset is 50 mm, the standover height is 776 mm and the fork installation height is 420 mm. The crank length is 165 mm and the wheelbase measures 1041 mm in total, with a bottom bracket height of 294 mm.
