Bergamont Grandurance 8

The "Grandurance 8" model from the "Bergamont" brand, released in 2021, is a versatile and high-performance bicycle designed for discerning cyclists. Priced at 1,699 EUR, it offers excellent value for money.

The Grandurance 8’s frame is constructed from an ultra-lightweight AL-6061 tube set and is designed for 28-inch wheels. The maximum load capacity is 115 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 9 kg. This makes it a lightweight yet robust choice for a variety of uses.

The brakes are Shimano GRX BR-RX400 hydraulic disc brakes with SM-RT64 rotors, each measuring 160 mm in diameter at the front and rear. The brake levers are also Shimano GRX, model ST-RX600 / BL-RX600, and offer precise control and reliability.

The gear system comprises a Shimano GRX RD-RX812 rear derailleur with Shadow Plus technology, as well as Shimano GRX ST-RX600 shift levers, which enable 1x11-speed gearing. The Grandurance 8’s fork is the Grandurance Carbon II, featuring a carbon steerer tube, a 12x100 mm axle and mudguard mounts. It offers 100 mm of travel and contributes to shock absorption and stability.

Other features include the Syncros Creston 2.0 handlebars with a 10-degree flare, BGM Race Grip-Tape for non-slip grips, a Syncros RR2.5 stem with a +/- 6-degree angle, and a BGM F13-E-476 A-Headset, which is semi-integrated and tapered.

The rims are Syncros Capital 2.0 Disc, combined with Schwalbe G-One Allround folding tyres (35-622) and BGM Allroad hubs with CentreLock discs, featuring a 12x100 mm axle at the front and a 12x142 mm axle at the rear. The spokes are double-butted, made of stainless steel and finished in black.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino 2.5, mounted on a Syncros 2.5 seatpost. The bike’s geometry comprises a reach of 385 mm, a stack of 541 mm, a seat tube length of 475 mm and a top tube length of 530 mm. The head tube angle is 70 degrees, the seat tube angle 75 degrees, the head tube length 115 mm, the chainstay length 425 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 70 mm, the fork offset is 50 mm, the standover height is 740 mm and the fork installation height is 405 mm. The bike’s wheelbase is 1030 mm.
