The 2022 E-Horizon Tour 400 Wave from Bergamont is an e-bike that stands out for its high-quality components and well-thought-out technology. Priced at 2,699 EUR, it offers excellent value for money.

The frame of the E-Horizon Tour 400 Wave is constructed from a lightweight AL-6061 tube set and features an integrated PowerTube battery. The bike has a 28-inch frame height and a total weight of 27 kg, with a maximum load capacity of 140 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT200) with SM-RT10 rotors measuring 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear. The brake levers are also from Shimano (BL-MT201), ensuring reliable and precise braking performance. The drivetrain is fitted with a Shimano RD-M3100 Shadow rear derailleur, operated via a Shimano SL-M3100 Rapidfire Plus shifter and offering a 1x9-speed gearing system.

The Suntour NEX E25 fork with 63 mm of travel provides additional comfort when riding on uneven terrain. Safety on the road is ensured by Herrmans LED lights: the H-Black MR4 at the front and the H-Trace E at the rear. The aluminium trekking pedals provide a solid base for the rider’s feet.

The e-bike’s drive system is powered by a third-generation Bosch Drive Unit Active Line Plus motor with an output of 250 W and a voltage of 36 V. The Bosch Purion display allows for easy control and monitoring of the system, whilst the Bosch Compact Charger, with a 2A output, is used to charge the battery.

The FSA CK-200 crankset, featuring a 38-tooth chainring, and the Shimano CS-HG201-9 cassette with an 11–36-tooth range ensure efficient power transfer. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC e9S chain.

Rider comfort is ensured by the BGM Pro Riser handlebars, with a 40-degree bend and a height of 40 mm, as well as the BGM Comfort Ergo screw-on grips. The stem is adjustable between 17 and 25 degrees, allowing for individual adjustment of the riding position. The saddle is a Selle Royal Essenza Plus, designed specifically for women, and the seatpost is from BGM Pro.

The E-Horizon Tour 400 Wave is fitted with BGM Pro X17 rims, which are fitted with Schwalbe Energizer Plus tyres (50-622) featuring reflective strips. The hubs are also by Shimano and feature a Centre Lock disc system with quick-release skewers. Silver stainless-steel spokes complete the bike.

Additional features include Curana Apollo mudguards with stainless steel struts, an SKS Chainbooster chain guard, an Atran kickstand and a Racktime / BGM Trekking Pro luggage rack with the Snapit 2.0 system and integrated mudguard mount.
