Bergamont E-Horizon Sport Gent orange

The "E-Horizon Sport Gent orange" model from Bergamont, released in 2021, is a high-performance e-bike available for €2,999. The bike’s frame is made from an ultra-light AL-6061 tube set and is designed for 28-inch wheels. The integrated PowerTube battery ensures a sleek look and improved weight distribution. The maximum permissible weight is 140 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 25 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes – specifically the BR-MT200 model – with an SM-RT10 rotor measuring 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear. The brake levers are also by Shimano and are designated BL-MT200. The gear system is a Shimano Deore RD-M4120 Shadow with ten speeds, operated via Rapidfire Plus shifters (SL-M4100).

The Suntour NEX E25 fork offers 63 mm of travel and contributes to a comfortable ride. The lighting comprises a B&M Dopp front light with a 30 lux LED and a B&M Toplight 2 C LED rear light, both of which are specifically designed for e-bikes. The pedals are made from aluminium and are suitable for trekking.

The drive system is powered by a Bosch Performance Line CX Cruise (Generation 4) motor with an output of 250 W and a voltage of 36 V, which achieves a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The Bosch PowerTube battery has a capacity of 625 Wh and is controlled via the Bosch Purion display.

Other components include an FSA CK-320 crankset with a 38-tooth chainring, a Shimano Deore CS-M4100 cassette with 11–42 teeth and a KMC e10S chain. The handlebars are BGM Pro Riser handlebars with a 15-degree bend and a height of 5 mm, whilst the grips are BGM Comfort Ergo Double Density screw-on grips. The stem is adjustable and allows for tilt angles between 17 and 25 degrees.

The bike is fitted with Ryde Rival 23 rims, fitted with Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus tyres (47-622). The hubs are by Shimano and feature Centre Lock disc quick-release mechanisms. The saddle is a Selle Royal Essenza Plus Gent, mounted on a BGM Pro seatpost.

Additional features include SKS mudguards with stainless steel struts, an SKS Chainbooster chain guard, a Syncros kickstand and a Racktime/BGM Trekking Pro luggage rack with integrated mudguard mounts.

The frame geometry comprises a reach of 404 mm, a stack of 606 mm, a seat tube length of 455 mm, a top tube length of 595 mm, a head tube angle of 70 degrees, a seat tube angle of 72 degrees, a head tube length of 130 mm, a chainstay length of 473 mm, a bottom bracket drop of 60 mm, a fork offset of 50 mm, a top tube height of 778 mm, a fork installation height of 469 mm and a wheelbase of 1125 mm.
