Bergamont E-Horizon FS Elite

The 2021 E-Horizon FS Elite from Bergamont is a high-quality e-bike designed for discerning riders. Priced at 4,999 EUR, it offers a host of technical refinements and high-quality components. The frame is constructed from an ultra-lightweight AL-6061 tube set and is designed for 28-inch wheels. It incorporates a PowerTube battery and offers 80 mm of suspension travel. The maximum load capacity is 140 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 26 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano Deore XT hydraulic disc brakes (BR-M8100) with 180 mm rotors at the front and rear. The brake levers are also Shimano Deore XT (BL-T8100). The rear derailleur is a Shimano Deore XT (RD-M8100) with Shadow Plus technology and a Rapidfire Plus shifter (SL-M6100), offering a total of 12 gears. The fork is a Suntour Mobie 25 air fork with 100 mm of travel and a 15x100 mm axle, whilst the rear shock is a Suntour UNAir R8 with 80 mm of travel and a lockout function.

The bike is also fitted with high-quality lighting components: a B&M IQ-XS front light with 70 lux and LED technology, and a B&M Toplight 2 C rear light. The pedals are made from aluminium for trekking bikes. The bottom bracket is from Bosch (Isis), combined with an FSA CK-320 crankset with 38 teeth. The cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M6100 with a gear range of 10–51 teeth, and power is transmitted via a KMC e12S chain.

The handlebars are BGM Pro Riser handlebars with a 15-degree bend and a height of 5 mm, fitted with Ergon GP10 grips. The stem is adjustable and incorporates the Bosch Kiox display. The headset is a semi-integrated FSA NO.57SC-1 A-Headset. The rims are Ryde Rival 23 Disc rims, and the tyres are Schwalbe Hurricane Addix with reflective strips (57-622). The hubs are by Shimano (HB-MT400 at the front, FH-MT410-B at the rear), and the spokes are Sapim Leader.

The saddle is an Ergon ST10, mounted on a BGM Pro seatpost. The mudguards are from Racktime Wingee, and the kickstand is from Syncros. A Racktime/BGM luggage rack completes the specification. The motor is a fourth-generation Bosch Drive Unit Performance Line CX Cruise with 250 W of power and a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The integrated battery has a capacity of 625 Wh.

The frame geometry features a seat tube length of 445 mm, a top tube length of 590 mm, a head tube angle of 69 degrees, a seat tube angle of 74 degrees, a head tube length of 125 mm, a chainstay length of 480 mm, a bottom bracket drop of 50 mm, a fork offset of 44 mm, a top tube height of 736 mm, a fork installation height of 497 mm and a wheelbase of 1154 mm. The reach is 416 mm and the stack is 620 mm.
