Bergamont E-Horizon Expert Amsterdam blue

The "E-Horizon Expert Amsterdam blue" model from Bergamont, released in 2021, is a high-quality e-bike available at a price of 3,499 EUR. The frame is made from an ultra-light AL-6061 tube set with a PowerTube battery and is designed for 28-inch wheels. The maximum permissible weight is 140 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 25 kg.

The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT420) with 4-piston calipers and SM-RT10 rotors (180/160 mm) ensure reliable braking performance. The brake levers are also from Shimano (BL-MT200) and offer precise control. The drivetrain is a Shimano Deore RD-M6100 Shadow Plus with 12 speeds, controlled by the Rapidfire Plus SL-M6100 shifter.

The Suntour NEX E25 fork offers 63 mm of travel and contributes to a comfortable ride. Lighting is provided by the B&M Dopp front light (30 lux) and the B&M Toplight 2 C rear light, both LED models and specifically designed for e-bikes. The pedals are made from aluminium for trekking bikes.

The rims are Ryde Rival 23 Disc, eyeleted, and the tyres are Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus with reflective strips (47-622). The hubs are Shimano HB-MT400 (Centrelock, disc) at the front and Shimano FH-MT401 (Centrelock, disc, quick-release) at the rear, connected by Sapim Leader spokes.

The saddle is an Ergon ST10, mounted on a BGM Pro seatpost. Racktime Wingee mudguards and an SKS Chainbooster chain guard provide additional protection. A Syncros kickstand ensures stability when parking the bike. The luggage rack is a Racktime / BGM Trekking Pro with integrated mudguard mounts.

The motor is a fourth-generation Bosch Drive Unit Performance Line CX Cruise with 250 W of power and a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The battery is a Bosch 36 V Li-ion PowerTube with a capacity of 625 Wh. The display is a Bosch Intuvia.

The bike’s geometry comprises a reach of 395 mm, a stack of 605 mm, a seat tube length of 415 mm and a top tube length of 580 mm. The head tube angle is 70 degrees, and the seat tube angle is 73 degrees. The head tube is 130 mm long, the chainstay length is 473 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 60 mm and the fork offset is 50 mm. The top tube height is 519 mm, the fork installation height is 469 mm and the wheelbase measures 1116 mm in total.
