Cyclite specialises in lightweight construction and luggage transport on bicycles. The team based near Lake Chiemsee rethinks products, devises interesting solutions and remains true to the pursuit of lightness and sophisticated functionality.
Just in time for the 2026 bikepacking season, Cyclite has introduced new products and revised tried-and-tested products. The Nano series we have recently shownnow the focus is on larger quantities of luggage.
The first fork bags from Cyclite are called Fork Bag / 01. In true Cyclite style, they are designed to be more aerodynamic than other fork bags. This is ensured by the flat and wedge-shaped design. The bags can be opened and closed with a weatherproof zip. The brand logo is reflective for visibility. The bags can be attached directly to the fork using screw-on points, if available. If the fork has no bolt-on points, the bags can be attached using a thru axle. However, this requires an adapter such as the Axle Pack from Old Man Mountain. The bag itself can be attached and removed with a flick of the wrist.
Fork pockets are practical because the contents are quickly accessible. From my own experience: you can put everything in here that you need to get to on the go: A change of clothes such as rain gear, thicker gloves, ... or even food and sun cream for the next break.
The Handle Bar Roll Bag has a Generation / 02 get a valve. This helps to compress the contents better, making packing easier.
A handlebar bag is part of the standard equipment of every bikepacker. If I have one with me, it contains everything I need for the night: sleeping bag, sleeping mat, sleeping bag liner, pillow. The saddle bag usually contains a change of clothes, a toiletry bag, a thick jacket and clothes for the evening and night.
The close-fitting hydration waistcoat was designed for competitions, ultra races and long tours. The 4-way stretch material is designed to allow freedom of movement and the mesh inner material increases breathability. The waistcoat is available in sizes S/M and M/L and weighs 156 and 176 grams respectively. The main compartment is designed for a 2-litre hydration bladder and also offers space for a jacket and small items. Two zip pockets offer space for arm warmers or a windbreaker, while three pockets on the shoulder straps keep snacks and a smartphone close at hand - one of which is secured with a zip. The drinking tube can be attached to the shoulder strap using a magnetic mechanism. A lamp holder and reflective elements ensure better visibility at dusk and in the dark. The matching "Hydration Bladder / 01" (2 litres, 144 grams, BPA-free) available.
A hydration waistcoat creates additional storage space and you can carry more water with you. Small bikes in particular often have little space for a frame bag and water bottles. However, hydration is essential in summer or in remote areas. Even if you want to cook your own food in the evening, you will usually need extra water. It's also practical to always have the most important things such as your smartphone and wallet on you.
The Top Tube Bag Large, the Cyclite development team has made a few improvements. It can now also be screwed on and the front strap is interchangeable. This means that the bag now fits more bikes with different diameters above the head tube.
The top tube bag holds everything you need to get to quickly while riding. Especially snacks, perhaps sun cream, a first aid kit and a puncture repair kit are also in good hands here.
Norman Bielig from Desire Lines spoke to Max Barnsteiner, one of the two founders of Cyclite, in December. The podcast episode provides exciting insights.
