Topeak's "Rescue Box" is a welcome first aid kit for cyclists who want or need to repair a punctured inner tube on the road.
The waterproof, 3.5 x 6 centimetre box contains six self-adhesive patches and a small file for roughening the hose. During the test, the adhesive pad permanently sealed a small hole and withstood seven bars of pressure without any problems. With longer cuts of one centimetre or more, the adhesive surface becomes scarce, as it does with punctures where the two holes punched into the rubber by the rim are not covered by a patch.
