Single test: Mobile workbench from Park Tool
With a working height of 90 centimetres, the foldable "PB-1" workbench offers a stable, large workstation with a robust plastic surface and numerous integrated tool holders.

Mechanics on the road and bike mechanics without their own workshop know the problem: Where to put tools and components if you don't want to bend down all the time? One possible answer is provided by tool manufacturer Park Tool. With a working height of 90 centimetres, the foldable "PB-1" workbench offers a stable, 90 x 60 centimetre workstation with a robust plastic surface and numerous integrated tool holders. Unfortunately, the €150 "PB-1" only becomes a fully-fledged open-air workshop if you also purchase the "PB-7" assembly and centring stand kit (€150) and the "PB-5" castor kit (€125), which makes the 14-kilo table (folding dimensions 110 x 60 x 20 centimetres) easier to transport and can also be used as a hand truck. Given the total cost of 450 euros, most hobby screwdrivers will probably continue to bend over.
