Single test: BBB torque spanner
Safety-relevant parts such as the stem, handlebars or seat post require the bolts to be tightened to a precise torque to protect against both unexpected loosening and overloading.

On the handy "Torquefix" torque spanner (20 centimetres long, weighing 360 grams) from BBB, the tightening torque can be set to values between 2 and 24 Newton metres using the twist grip. A tolerance of plus/minus four per cent is specified. The tool holder measures a quarter of an inch and the tool is supplied in a plastic box including six Allen nuts (3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 mm) and a Torx nut (T 25).

It is easy to use, but the scale is not easy to read. The handle does not cut into the hand even at maximum load. With the exception of cranksets such as Campa or SRAM, which require more than 50 Newton metres, all tightening torques on the racer can be set correctly with the spanner.
