Gedore is a well-known German tool manufacturer for industry and trade - but its bike set for travelling is new to the range. How does the set fare in the TOUR-Check?

In the test: Minitool from Gedore

The set includes a ratchet with 1/4-inch drive, bits for standard hexagon socket and Torx screws as well as a PH1 screwdriver bit and a square drive bit as an extension. The seven millimetre ring spanner integrated into the lever is useless on a road or gravel bike.

The mechanical-magnetic bit holder in the extension is clever, however. Although the three tyre levers included in the set are stable, they are undersized for tight-fitting road bike tyres due to their short lever. The leverage of the ratchet, on the other hand, is sufficient for all bolts on the racer. The whole thing is packed in a small bag that can be attached to the saddle with Velcro straps, leaving just enough room for a spare inner tube.
