But the fact is: water stains on a stylish carbon frame are not pretty and moisture between bearings, derailleurs or chain links can favour corrosion. Dynamic Bike Care therefore presents the AirForce Max, a powerful electric blower that has been specially developed for thoroughly drying bicycles. According to the manufacturer, the cordless device is the perfect complement to conventional drying with a microfibre cloth and is primarily used in places where cloths cannot reach. The focus is on hard-to-reach areas such as derailleurs, bearings and chain links. With a strong, constant flow of air, the AirForce Max should be able to remove water and moisture precisely and quickly from all areas of the bike without damaging sensitive components. Complete drying could prevent rust and corrosion and thus extend the service life of the bicycle components.
Functionality and performance
The AirForce Max has four different power levels that can be selected depending on the area of application and the sensitivity of the components to be dried. The spectrum ranges from a gentle air flow for sensitive areas to turbo mode for maximum blowing power. According to the manufacturer, the device's performance is comparable to wind force 12, which corresponds to a very strong storm. For precise application, the AirForce Max is equipped with a slim nozzle that allows the airflow to be targeted at specific areas. This is particularly useful for narrow gaps and hard-to-reach areas on the bike where moisture can be particularly stubborn.
Design and handling
The AirForce Max is made of brushed aluminium, which not only gives it a high-quality appearance, but also ensures a robust construction. According to the manufacturer, the material was deliberately chosen to ensure a long service life of the device and at the same time enable comfortable handling. The ergonomic shape of the blower is designed to ensure a comfortable grip, which is particularly beneficial for prolonged use. Another important aspect of user-friendliness is the cordless design, which allows unrestricted freedom of movement during use. This makes it easy to dry the bike from all sides without being restricted in movement by a cable. The blower is operated using easily accessible buttons that can be used to switch between the different power levels.
Battery and charging management
The AirForce Max is equipped with a powerful 2000 mAh 3S battery which, according to the manufacturer, should provide an operating time of up to 75 minutes. The operating time refers to use with a constant air flow and should be sufficient to completely dry several bikes in succession. However, the actual operating time naturally depends on the selected power level.
