Degree of difficulty:
- for talented hobby mechanics

Tool:
- Hexagon socket, torque spanner and bits

Excipients:
- Carbon assembly paste

TIPS:
- Turn the stem round:
If the adjustment options on the handlebars are not sufficient, you can turn most stems round to allow two different handlebar heights. Make sure that the cables are long enough for this

- Large angle:
Stems are available in different angles. The greater the angle, the greater the difference in height when you turn the stem round.

- High spacer:
A five millimetre high spacer above the stem provides better, more secure support for the carbon fork steerer tube in the stem clamp.

- Shorten the fork:
If your final riding position requires more than five millimetres of spacer above the stem, you should have the fork shortened by your bike dealer. Otherwise there is a risk of breakage! Check the tightness of all bolts after about 100 to 300 kilometres of riding and then every 2,000 kilometres.
