Modern helmets are light, airy and look good - but many cyclists have problems fitting them. We show you how.

Difficulty level: ffeasible for everyone

You will need:

  • Material: Scissors, lighter, sewing needle and thread if necessary

Care tips:

  • Wash the helmet pads and straps regularly with lukewarm water and a little detergent. When carefully removing the Velcro pads, hold the glued-on counterpart in the helmet shell.

  • UV light causes plastic to age more quickly. Do not leave your helmet in direct sunlight all the time - and certainly not on the rear shelf in the car.

1. a cycle helmet only offers the best possible protection and wearing comfort if it covers the forehead.
