TIPS

- Cable routing is complex and the choice of cable set depends on the type of bike and frame. On the website of Shimano or the importer www.paul-lange.de you will find a series of instructions and parts lists.

- Finally, test ride the road bike on a traffic-free area and test the shifting function.

Tips for laying cables

The central node of the cable harness with externally routed cables is located under the bottom bracket. A special guide is bolted on here to accommodate the cables for the front derailleur and rear derailleur.

Battery check

To check whether the battery still has enough power, press one of the shift paddles on the brake lever for a few seconds. If the lamp lights up green, there is still enough power in the system. If not, you should charge the battery.

Basic adjustment of rear derailleur and front derailleur

Turn the crank slowly and press one of the two shift buttons several times until the chain runs on either the outer or inner sprocket. Adjust the end stop so that the chain is not transported beyond the sprocket. Proceed in the same way in the other extreme position.

Rear derailleur adjustment

Shift to a medium gear. Press the button on the front shifter under the handlebars until the indicator light lights up red. The rear derailleur can now be finely adjusted. Turn the crank and listen to the chain.
