The Schwalbe TOUR Transalp powered by Sigma kicked off in Mittenwald on Sunday. In the rain, 1,300 participants took to the course.

The three fastest teams crossed the finish line after around three hours and 23 minutes and all came from Austria. Team Flachau / Rad International Mallorca took the lead in the men's classification with Mathias Nothegger and Hans Peter Obwaller. Mathias Nothegger, the team coach of Team TOUR, proved that he can not only write good training plans, but also trains well himself.

Riders from Team TOUR powered by Bulls are also taking part in the stage race for everyone. They describe their reports from the route in blog entries on the team website www.tour-team.de.

The second stage leads from Sölden to Brixen and was again characterised by tough weather conditions. On the Timmelsjoch, the participants rode along snow-covered slopes. The daily live ticker on the Event page.
