The lavish rubber coatings slow the tyres down a little - but not as much as you might fear. The difference to top tyres is around ten watts at 35 km/h, so the all-weather tyres still roll quite well. The riding impressions of the thick tyres range from agile and comfortable (Vredestein) to sluggish and wooden (Vittoria).
