The filigree plastic mudguards weigh just 150 grams with accessories. The struts are attached to the fork or rear triangle with rubber rings, the mudguards to the brake bolts with one cable tie each. What sounds like improvised tinkering turns out to be universal and practical: unusual tube shapes do not hinder assembly, nor does the lack of space between the tyres and brakes. The initial fitting requires a little patience, the short video on the manufacturer's website is very helpful. On wet roads, the "Road Racers" provide convincing protection, but subsequent cyclists would be pleased if the rear mudguard were a little longer.
The developers have also thought about safety. Felt pads at the height of the brake track prevent parts from coming too close to the wheel. In the event of rough impacts, the plates buckle and spring back into their original shape; the struts break immediately as soon as they come into contact with the spokes.
