The name is the concept: fast, sophisticated, elegant and expensive; not a bike for very heavy riders

Trek earned the test victory with good aerodynamics and an exemplary concept for position adjustment. Six stem variants in combination with the four frame sizes allow 14 centimetres of height adjustment of the basic handlebars. With a second seat post, a slacker seat angle can also be realised. The hard tear-off edges on the tubes go back to the German aerodynamicist Wunibald Kamm, who discovered in the 1920s that tubes do not necessarily have to have an aerofoil profile in order to be aerodynamically favourable. The integration of the brakes under form-fitting covers on the fork and behind the bottom bracket is visually stunning - but the function of the stoppers could be better. Like the Madone road bike, the Speed Concept is designed for mechanical shifting and Di2 electronic shifting.
