Cycling and music simply belong together. Whether motivating songs for roller training or relaxing sounds after training or competition: the right music makes every moment better - and the athlete more efficient. And: between tough competitions, music helps you to wind down and switch off before focussing on the next race.
This month: Reto Hollenstein
The Swiss Reto Hollenstein is an imposing figure due to his height alone: at 1.97 metres, he stands out from the field of riders - and provides the perfect wind shadow for his colleagues from Team Israel-Start up Nation. Although Hollenstein still has no victories to his name after 15 years as a professional, he has already prepared numerous triumphs for his team-mates. Whether at NetApp, IAM Cycling, Katusha-Alpecin or currently with the new WorldTour team from Israel, Hollenstein is always working hard for his colleagues, often long before the TV cameras are switched on.
Anyone who thinks that a career as a mere helper with no chance of winning would be a drag on the mood doesn't know the charming Swiss rider! Hollenstein always puts the team of Rick Zabel, André Greipel and Nils Politt in a good mood. Perhaps also because his music selection consists of so many atmospheric tracks. The Swiss has given us a exclusive insight into his Feelgood-Playlist granted.
All tracks in full length are available on our Spotify account. All you need is a free Spotify account to listen to the pros' favourite songs. Hardcore fans are best off subscribing to the "TOUR Magazine" account on Spotify and never miss a playlist again.
