Although the Suunto strap only connects to other devices via Bluetooth, it offers other practical details: for example, the strap is available in three lengths. The sensor can also be attached to the company's own Movesense clothing, such as a sports bra, using a push button. For this reason, the Suunto is an option for women in particular, as the bra and separate chest strap often collide, which reduces wearing comfort. With a guaranteed water resistance of at least 30 metres, the heart rate sensor is fully suitable for swimming. Our pairing attempts with smartphones, smartwatches and GPS computers were quick and secure, with one exception. Only with the Wahoo Elemnt did the Suunto strap only show a willingness to pair after two minutes. There are no LED or sound indicators for the functional status, and the manufacturer provides no information on battery life.
