The Australian manufacturer Hammerhead uses a silver-coloured sensor surface interwoven with the strap material in its first chest strap, which is intended to improve measurement accuracy. Compared to the thin rubberised contact surface of the other chest straps, the airier mesh material is less bulky, which some wearers found pleasant in combination with the extremely low weight. Even those who sweat a lot appreciate the better grip of the measuring surface. Hammerhead also advertises that the strap and sensor are waterproof. However, the Hammerhead HRM cannot claim measurably higher accuracy, especially as all chest straps provide good data. Pairing ran smoothly with both the in-house Karoo 2 GPS computer as well as with other devices without any problems. However, if you try to use the two possible Bluetooth connections and ANT+ with various other devices at the same time, it will take a few attempts.
